The Education Foundation is a nonprofit organization that supports high academic achievement and innovation in Caldwell County's public schools. The Foundation promotes cooperation between the schools and the private sector and encourages creativity and excellence in teaching by securing resources to enhance education in a rapidly changing world.

The Foundation is the only nonprofit organization in Caldwell County which exclusively supports public education. The Caldwell County School Systems consists of 26 schools, approximately 1,800 employees and 12,600 students. The county faces many challenges such as maximizing student achievement, providing a healthy and safe environment, and committing to and advancing toward changing technology.

Grants & Scholarships

Student Activity Scholarship - assists students with curriculum related activities and field trips

Community Education Grants - awards creative projects that impact learning in schools and community

Teacher Supplemental Fund - funds special curriculum needs for the classroom

School Social Worker Fund - supports students needs for successful learning

Aspiring Students - supports student needs at Hibriten High School

West Caldwell Student Fund - assists West Caldwell students and special needs

Kings Creek Endowment - supports creative music programs

Teacher Assistant Scholarship - a Coffey Foundation initiative to assist Teacher Assistants with college degrees

Captain Harper/Dr. Marley Scholarship - college scholarship for students majoring in music: students are selected by band directors

Mollie Grace Dalton Scholarship - college scholarships for South Caldwell students

Robert Marvin Courtney Scholarship - college scholarship for students studying horticulture

Barbara Deverick Scholarship - provides professional development for educators

William and Mary Hamby Scholarship - funds student activities

Kenneth A. Roberts Scholarship - scholarship for rising senior to help with pre-college expenses

Tom McNeel Teaching Scholarship - teacher scholarship for professional development

Cylinda Hazen Scholarship - scholarship that promotes student citizenship and volunteerism

Ronald and Christine Beane Scholarship - college scholarship for West Caldwell students

Wanda Wood Kirby Scholarship - funds professional development for Exceptional Children’s Program

Cowart Family Scholarships - college scholarship for all high school students and college scholarship for Caldwell Career Center Middle College student

Dr. Sharon Pennell Teaching Scholarship - college scholarship for high school students majoring in education

Gary and Phyllis Knight Memorial Scholarships - college scholarship for Hibriten and West Caldwell students

Jack Robbins Scholarship - college scholarship for students majoring in engineering
